Questions

How does the standard of living during the marriage impact the cash flow analysis?

This differs from state to state, but often the legal analysis for support is based upon the standard of living during the marriage. This means that your budget moving forward should be based on a similar standard of expenses and lifestyle as during the marriage. If you earn enough alone to meet this budget, then no additional support is needed.  But if you cannot meet your own budget, based upon the standard of living during the marriage, you may then have a case for support from your spouse.
