My state doesn’t use the term “visitation” – so what is it called when my ex has time with the children?
In states that do not use the term “visitation,” time spent with the children by the non-custodial parent is often referred to as "parenting time" or "time-sharing." These terms emphasize the importance of both parents being actively involved in their children's lives and reflect a more collaborative approach to co-parenting.
