When am I officially divorced?

While the signing of a divorce decree or joint stipulation typically results in a binding contract, the divorce is not usually considered final until it has been signed by a Judge or other court officer and then “entered” by the court. The divorce is typically final on upon issuance of a Notice of Entry.
