What should we do if we disagree on a specific medical treatment or intervention for our child?
Start by discussing the disagreement openly, considering each other's perspectives and the child's best interests. If an agreement can't be reached, seeking advice from the child's healthcare provider or a neutral third party, such as a mediator, can help resolve the conflict. If agreement cannot be reached, you can seek court intervention but keep in mind that the court will often heavily weigh the child’s healthcare professional’s opinion so it may be challenging if you disagree with that advice.
