How should we handle situations where our children are struggling to adjust to a new significant other in one of our lives?
If your children are having difficulty adjusting, provide them with emotional support, validate their feelings, and consider seeking guidance from a therapist. Be patient and allow them time to adapt, adjusting the pace of the introduction as needed to prioritize their well-being. Just because your children met your new significant other doesn’t mean the relationship has to grow immediately. One meeting and then a pause may be needed if the children are struggling.
